Leading up to a planned Twitch stream by Mythical staff members, in addition to various information and news about various aspects of the game, marketplace and plans for the future, there was also a thread started in the official discord to gather questions from the community which would be answered on the stream.
It’s not unusual for people to underestimate how long things take to get done, and there was lot of information on a lot of different subjects to try a fit in.
Along with the Boss Dino Gem Rushing news being, well, rushed, and the Party Pass news being cut short, there was only a relatively short Q&A segment at the end of the broadcast (not entirely helped by the minute long introduction to it, lol). Unsurprisingly, not all of the submitted questions were answered.
We’ll start here with those that were, and then additionally those that are yet to have a dev response supplied.

Can we have an updated list of known issues/current features being worked on? It would be good to see which bugs are known to be present and are being actively worked on.

Anish touched on the future outlook on the roadmap.
The current features that we’re working on.
Providing a list of issues could be in flux, or based on discoveries, or while we’re investigating things.
We might not have an answer on the issue completely.
We may not release something like that until we’ve had a good time to investigate it thouroughly.
We have definitely been discussing a list of known issues, to potentially go out, but we’re cautious of that and promising a fix without investigating it further, or finding the root cause.

Are there any plans for the blanko bucks currency to become an actual form of coin on the blockchain?

I can’t go into specifics, but we want to leverage all of the blockchain concepts into the game.
That includes token among other things.
But there’s a lot of pre-requisite systems that we need in place, like those NFT lifecycles that we talked about.
Having those will allow us to integrate something like a token into the game, and that’s something that we are at a high level looking at.
Can’t give timelines, but that is the plan.
A lot of foundational systems need to be built rather than just slapping a token on the game for the sake of it. Slap it on as an earning mechanism.
Needs to be integrated into the gameplay and the game goals so that it makes sense over a longer period of time.

Are there any plans to be able to show off mint number in game?

It’s absolutely something we’ve discussed and are investigating during our social improvements phase.
When this will happen is not determined yet but has definitely been in conversations around social improvements.

This is not just about about mint #.
A player can see someone else’s Blanko and want to know more about it.
Looking to create vectors to allow that.
Also for when you’ve done something awesome, e.g. consistently beaten the Party Pass, or been near the top of the Brawls leaderboard.

Are there any plans to balance out XP in a way that doesn’t reward afk farming, but is also fair to those who can’t play during Happy Hour?

We are going to be reworking how XP gets rewarded in the Blanko Brawl update.
We will be temporarily disabling XP Happy Hour as we find the right balance.
Also feeds into the concept of not having to change Blanko, but to run a main, or a crew of mains. To participate in Blanko Brawls.

Will there be an incentive for us to actually play our EX15 Blankos in the future?
Anish:
The thing we want to be careful about is that levels and gradeups that have an impact on gameplay can create unfair experiences.
At this time we are looking at (unclear) outside of the game where you can various rewards, or access to things.
(I think the question here was really more related to being able to still earn XP with a maxed out Blanko. XP that could be applied to another one in your collection. The opening up of slots for Power Perks and Skills, and gaining the hidden perks is already providing a gameplay advantage for anyone with an EX15 (or above) Blanko.)

(That’s a raw number, and there was some overlap between a few, while others may have been covered by information given through the course of the dev stream before the Q&A.)
That’s not a good ratio in my eyes.
Fair play for doing it at all though. And having had one Q&A session now, there is something to build on.
At the end of this brief one, it sounded like there was a real willingness to answer questions from the community. (Although answering one in seven might have made it feel easy?)
Changing the methodology could be the key to making this a staple of community interaction and feedback between the devs and the players.
Maybe dedicating a dev stream solely to Q&A/AMA.
Or do it as a video instead. If the questions are all supplied in advance anyway, there’s no need for the live and interactive functionality of a streaming platform.
A video could be made by one or two of the team. Or alternatively a lot more of the team, but each just answering questions that very specifically relate to their own area of expertise and their job within the company.
Hopefully the remaining questions will be answered in the very near future.
